ABOUT LEAH
Leah Valenti, a dedicated public servant, assumed the role of Charlotte County Supervisor of Elections on January 31, 2023, following a gubernatorial appointment by Governor Ron DeSantis on January 30, 2023. Since then, she has successfully overseen two elections, prioritizing fairness and integrity in the electoral process.
Originally from Maryland, Valenti relocated to Southwest Florida in 2003 after earning her degree in Criminology and Criminal Justice from the University of Maryland. Settling in Charlotte County in 2012, she immersed herself in community service, serving on various boards, including the United Way and the Charlotte County Homeless Coalition Foundation. Valenti’s leadership roles, including the Presidency of her Leadership Charlotte class and serving on Charlotte County Chamber and Punta Gorda Chambers Government Affairs committees, underscore her commitment to enhancing Charlotte County’s welfare.
Valenti’s extensive experience in public service, notably as District Director for Congressman Thomas Rooney and US Senator Rick Scott from 2009-2022, equipped her with the skills necessary for her current position. Managing constituent services and liaising with federal agencies honed her abilities in policy-making and advocacy, making her well-suited for the Supervisor of Elections role.
Beyond her professional achievements, Valenti cherishes her role as a wife and mother. Her family serves as her foundation and source of pride. Valenti’s unwavering dedication to Charlotte County and active involvement in the electoral process exemplify her suitability for the Supervisor of Elections position, making her an ideal candidate to lead the community forward.
